« Grad-watch 2006: keeping up with Ms Jones | Single white (& Case) female | Touching the void »

One Diary spy last week got more than she bargained for when a flat-hunting mission in trendy northwest London revealed a chilling glimpse into the reality of associate life at an hours-conscious US firm.
The current tenant, a junior lawyer at White & Case, has been renting the property for around a year – although she was some way from achieving that achingly fashionable ‘lived-in’ look that’s so hot in the City right now.
A solitary postcard on the mantelpiece – from someone presumably having a better time than the lawyer herself– was the only sign that anyone had set foot in the disturbingly immaculate apartment, never mind actually lived there.
Let’s hope that office is comfortable, eh?
