Posted 2/04/2007 by The Daily Diary
Back by unpopular demand, The Diary’s (very) occasional ‘Top 10’ feature returns with the semi-score most popular reasons this week for ditching your international alliance to conquer Europe alone.
- To look ruthless in front of major corporate client
- Got drunk and thought you were texting ex-girlfriend
- Been at least a month since the last root-and-branch strategic review
- Discovered firm’s centuries-old Latin motto actually translates as ‘A flag on every map, a logo on every notepad’
- Seemed like fun when Dentons did it
- Ironic comment on creeping federalisation of European Union
- Alliance firms seemed better when you picked them from that catalogue
- Partners don’t need all that cash so may as well ‘invest’ it in something
- Could never conquer Europe in ‘Risk’ as a child
- Well…they’re foreign, aren’t they?
