Dundas' pod squad

Posted 11/04/2007 by The Daily Diary

With the last of the Easter eggs congealing happily in the springtime sunshine, Caledonian legal royalty Dundas & Wilson has hatched an equally tempting technological treat.

The canny Scots firm already offers online seminars (or ‘webinars’, if you wish to help accelerate the death of the English language) on employment law through its famous ‘D&W Vision’ virtually interactive neural-networked meta-platform.

Now, however, Dundas has turned up the heat even further on legal luddites with the launch of its unmissable new podcast on construction law – which, unbelievably, is free to download for anyone with a few spare megabytes on their iPods between the Dust Brothers and Bob Dylan.

The Diary will be keeping an eagle eye on iTunes in the coming months to chart the show’s progress up the podcasting hit parade, with Dundas partner Hamish Lal this week rapping with the kids about “the highly topical and controversial issue of the timing of adjudication decisions”.

Whether the firm intends to provide Lal with a bumbling paralegal sidekick to boost the ratings – think Karl Pilkington to podcasting king Ricky Gervais – remains to be seen.
