Last week the brightest stars in the legal firmament assembled in the not especially apt setting of a former fish market to celebrate another bumper year for commercial lawyers, champagne-quaffing hacks and manufacturers of small perspex trophies. Yes, it really has been an entire year since the last (and, erm, last) Legal Week Awards, now known as the British Legal Awards.
And it really did take an entire week for The Diary to shift its hangover, remove its bow-tie (even though it was a clip-on) and figure out how to download some snaps from the official digital camera, but here are a few pics in case you've not got the latest paper edition of Legal Week to hand.

Host Jimmy Carr looks impressed with the result of the Regional Firm of the Year gong...

...as recruiter Andrew Caulfield does his famous 'tuning two radios at once' mime.

Tony Angel is told his flies have been undone throughout his entire speech...

...as the party gets into full swing. In the next room.

The sparkling banter is too much for one 'tired' reveller (top right)...

...and here's why.
