Kharismatic Kazakh mining magnate Vladimir Kim last week provided a valuable insight into how those expensive legal advisers earn their corn at the annual general meeting for Kazakhmys shareholders.
“We cannot answer what we want to,” he mad-libbed when pressed about a mooted takeover of rival gold-digger ENRC. “Otherwise Charlie [Jacobs] say, ‘Mr Kim, shut up!’”.
Rumours that Jacobs is set to release his own tribute to The Prodigy’s seminal dance hit Charly are surely too far-fetched even for The Diary to ‘repeat’. Or not.
